Internet and the new digital era are making artists to realize that they really need to adapt themselves to the new technologies and to what a everyday more informed and mature society is demanding.

The old business model based upon shortage and copyright (all rights reserved) is no longer the ideal for the new context we are dealing with, therefore the new licenses together with the new distribution and promotion ways must replace the old and useless manners witch are proven totally ineffective.

Free licenses, known as copyleft (some rights reserved) are more respectful with the audience rights to access the culture and adds the necessary interactivity that favours the diffusion of the works, aswell as the perpetuation of them in time and their evolution in the Internet. Also this licenses are proved as more effective to protect the rights of the artists, guaranteeing their authorship all the time, favouring them to be known and fairly remunerated.

For this reason a group of amateur and professional photographers have decided to start a copylef calendar proyect based on Creative Commons licenses (http://creativecommons.org), that we hope will help to release a little bit more the best alternative to current copyright model.

The calendar consists in 12 photographs of nude and semi-nude women, one for month, plus one more for the cover as presentation. All pictures carry their stablished license, aswel as the authors's names and web directions to be able to achieve more information about them. Also, on each page of the calendar, there is the web direction http://www.copyleftcalendar.com witch can be visited to find more useful information about the proyect, interesting links and sponsors.

The calendar is made available and free of charge as a pps presentation, as pdf and also as individual images.

As we said, each picture has it's own license, but the whole calendar is licensed (cc) by-nc-nd copyleftcalendar.com by Ningunterra.com productions. Nevertheless it is expressly permited to publish this calendar on webpages that have advertisements that mightr eport benefits. Any commercial use of the calendar will be negotiated with the artists involved in the proyect.

Internet y la era digital van haciendo que los artistas se den cuenta de la necesidad de adaptarse a las nuevas tecnologías y a lo que una sociedad cada vez más informada y madura demanda.

El antiguo modelo de explotación basado en la escasez y el copyright (todos los derechos reservados) deja de ser el ideal para el nuevo entorno en el que nos movemos, de ahí que las nuevas licencias junto con nuevas formas de difusión y promoción deben tomar el relevo a lo que ya se ha probado totalmente ineficaz.

Las licencias libres, copyleft (algunos derechos reservados) son respetuosas con los derechos de acceso a la cultura del espectador y añade la necesaria interactividad que favorece la difusión de las obras, así como su perpetuación de las obras en el tiempo y su evolución en Internet. Además estas licencias se han probado como más eficaces de cara a la protección de los derechos de los artistas, garantizando en todo momento su autoría y favoreciendo que sean conocidos y remunerados justamente.

Por este motivo un conjunto de fotógrafos profesionales y aficionados hemos decidido comenzar un proyecto de calendario copyleft basado en licencias Creative Commons (http://creativecommons.org), que esperamos servirá para dar a conocer la alternativa al actual modelo de copyright.

El calendario consiste en 12 fotografías de desnudos o semi-desnudos de chicas, una por mes, más otra imagen para la portada de presentación. En todas las fotografías se establecen las licencias concretas de cada imagen, así como los nombres de los autores y direcciones web para conocer más información sobre éstos. También en cada hoja del calendario está la dirección web http://www.copyleftcalendar.com dirección en la cual se puede encontrar más información sobre el proyecto, enlaces de interés y sponsors.

El calendario está disponible gratuitamente como presentación pps, con formato pdf y como imagenes sueltas.

Como hemos dicho cada imagen tiene su propia licencia si bien el conjunto del calendario va licenciado como (cc) by-nc-nd copyleftcalendar.com by Ningunterra.com Productions . No obstante queda expresamente permitido publicar el calendario en páginas que tengan publicidad de la cual obtengan ingresos. Cualquier tipo de uso comercial se deberá negociar con los artistas involucrados en el proyecto.

At the beginning there was nothing

It's now only a proyect and a lot of dreams. I'd like to make an nude-seminude copyleft calendar.

To do that I need a bunch of friend photographers, professionals and amateurs willing to make copyleft licenses more popular. Taking the idea of calendars, I believe that a free one with beauties on it, would really soar all across the Internet. I think it's a good incentive for photographers that want to be known worldwide.

This blog is gonna be the diary of what I want to do... Hope this memories will teach everybody something.
